I recently visited a local pub that left me with mixed feelings about my meal. Let’s start with the positives: the nachos were fantastic! The portions were incredibly generous, piled high with all the toppings you could ask for. There was a perfect balance of cheese, jalapeños, sour cream, and salsa. I liked how it was all served on a large tortilla! However, the guacamole served alongside was a bit of a letdown—it had a strange, almost plastic aftertaste that threw off the whole experience. The atmosphere in there was very warm and welcoming, with lots of lights and had a very cozy feel to it. I just also wished their was more attention to the entrance of the door as there were a lot of people waiting to be seated and no server was attending to them, most people don’t know if they are needed to seat themselves or someone will direct them, If anything a sign saying so would be nice! ?

I also decided to try the French onion soup, which unfortunately didn’t hit the mark for me. The broth was way too concentrated, making it a bit overwhelming and less enjoyable than I’d hoped. That said, the Caesar salad was excellent—crisp, fresh greens with a perfect dressing-to-lettuce ratio, and plenty of parmesan. Overall, while some elements were a bit hit or miss, the generous portions and tasty nachos make it worth another try. I’d definitely visit here again and try some of the other delicious foods on their menu they have to offer!

Fantastic surprise! Really great food, portions were also large, and the setting was warm and inviting.

Our server, Larryssa, was super helpful and nice. Had to make room for dessert but worth every mouthful.

This place is incredible. The portions are HUGE. I had a double tuxedo burger, and even the people at the next table were amazed by the size. They didn't skimp on anything. The service was fast and friendly. This is my new go-to place on the peninsula.

Excellent experience. Lunch for three of us. 2 had the 2 piece cod & chips special and 1 had the clubhouse with fries. All were cooked perfectly and the servings were good size. Very busy, the parking lot was full, but we were seated and served quickly and efficiently. very nice comfortable atmosphere. Prices were comparable to other eating establishments. It is worth the trip.

What’s not to love about the Prairie Inn - scrumptious food, tasty drinks, great service and all round excellent cozy villagey vibes (highly photographable / stuntable poutine & delishy fishy tacos)

Service was great! Our waitress made sure to accommodate my gluten allergy and was very kind. A wonderful little piece of history in the community!

Glad I stopped in after an airport run. Tuxedo Burger was fantastic! Portions were larger than expected and made with quality ingredients. A bit of a hike from Downtown Vic but well worth the drive. Busy place on a Saturday but staff still friendly and efficient.

They have great food at a good price and the meals are all big portions. They also have a really good selection of drat beers including Guinness (my favourite). It always seems to be very busy for lunch but they have lots of tables and lots of parking. One of my favorite places for lunch.
